Registration 2022 / 2023
 
South Shore Minor Hockey Association is excited to announce that registration is now open and can take place on our new website at https://www.ssmha.ca/
 
Once at our new site simply click the REGISTRATION button on the home page, set-up an account, and select the appropriate age level for your player(s).  Each level has either regular registration or funding assistance registration (for programs such as ProKids, Jumpstart, etc).  Please select the appropriate category for your player.
 
Credits 
Any member who has multiple players or credits from other sources (50/50, etc..) are required to select partial payment, pay the first half of their fee in full, and then the second half will show the discounted amount due. 
This method helps save unnecessary emt and other admin. costs.
 
Two Pay Option 
The initial fee (50% of base fee) is due upon registration and final payment (50% of base fee) is due November 15, 2022.
 
Online Registration ONLY!!
Similar to previous years, there will be No In-Person Registration.
 
Registration will be open from September 5th until September 30th.
 
2022-23 Fees
U-7 (new player) - $400
U-7 (returning player) - $500
U-9 - $575
U-11 - $800
U-13 - $800
U-15 - $800
U-18 - $700

** This year’s slight rate increase was determined as essential, due to: 

• rising operational costs from ice times to officiating fees. 
• limited / to no "local association" fundraising over the past 2 years.
• the association is in desperate need of new jerseys, an order will be placed in the near future (To hopefully arrive as early as this season).

 
Goalie Fee Change (New This Season)
For the 2022/23 season as an incentive for goalies, the board has approved to give back 50% of the registration fee at the end of the season ONLY IF a goalie plays the entire season as a Goalie for their team to be eligible for the refund.
 
Competitive Fees 
Competitive fees are again waived for the 2022 / 2023 season.
 
Family Discount
Families with more than one player registered with SSMHA will see a change in discounts for  the 2022/ 2023 season, the First player pays full price. Second player will receive $50.00 off their registration fee, 3rd player will receive $100.00 off their registration fee and 4th or more players will receive $150.00 of their fee 
 
Overdue Accounts
Any outstanding fees (or unreturned jerseys) due to the Association must be paid in full for the member player to be considered "in good standing" and eligible to register for the 2022 - 23 season. If you have outstanding fees (or unreturned jerseys), please contact our treasurer, Andy Selig, at treasurer@southshoremha.com 
 
Waitlist Policy
Unregistered RETURNING players will lose priority to a new player if a division is full after the registration deadline has ended.  If a division becomes full prior to the registration deadline, the priority of acceptance shall be:
Returning South Shore Minor Hockey Association players from the South Shore catchment area.
Returning players transferring to the South Shore Minor Hockey Association from another MHA.
New players transferring to the South Shore Minor Hockey Association from another MHA.
New players that are siblings of returning South Shore Minor Hockey Association players; and
New players with no previous hockey experience.
 
NOTE: Player Acceptance after the deadline is based on the date and time received by the South Shore Minor Hockey Association.
